1. Dorothy Faye Dunaway est une actrice américaine, best known for her starring roles in films from the 1960s onwards.

2. She made her screen debut in the 1967 film The Happening, and rose to fame that same year with the gangster film Bonnie and Clyde, for which she received her first Academy Award nomination.

3. Her most notable films include the crime caper The Thomas Crown Affair , for which she received an Academy Award for Best Actress.

4. Other notable films in which she has starred include the thriller Eyes of Laura Mars .

5. She won three Golden Globes, a BAFTA, an Emmy, and was the first-ever recipient of a Leopard Club Award which honors film professionals whose work has left a mark on the collective imagination.

6. Dunaway was born in Bascom, Florida, the daughter of Grace April , a career non-commissioned officer in the United States Army. She spent her childhood traveling throughout the United States and Europe.

11. Dunaway was cast as the bank robber Bonnie Parker in the 1967 film Bonnie and Clyde, opposite Warren Beatty, who played Clyde Barrow in the film, which he also produced.

12. Casting for the role of Bonnie had proved to be difficult; many actresses had been considered for the role, including Jane Fonda, Tuesday Weld, Ann-Margret, Carol Lynley, Leslie Caron, and Natalie Wood.
